Todd M. Baer

Todd M. Baer is an award winning journalist and former news executive who has led communications, partnerships and media relations on a global level.

He led the global communications & media relations team at Qatar Airways Group, creating an internal newsroom structure that resulted in significant global coverage of the company in tier 1 media. Todd built a communications team for the modern age, melding experts with journalism backgrounds with tech-driven media specialists across strategic comms, crisis comms and more.


Prior to joining Qatar Airways Group, Todd was an executive for 12 years at Bloomberg News & Bloomberg Media in editorial, business development, sales and strategy roles. He led the creation of the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg, and led engagements with the governments of the U.K., United States, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Rwanda, Mongolia, Namibia, Egypt, India, et al. During his tenure, he received the Order of the Polar Star, the highest honour a foreigner can receive, for launching Bloomberg TV Mongolia.

Todd began his career as a journalist, serving as a correspondent for Al Jazeera English in Gaza, Afghanistan, Lebanon, India, Haiti and The United States, as well as a local television reporter in the USA.

Steven Baer

Steven Baer is a chief brand and marketing officer, strategist and storyteller with 25+ years experience building some of the world’s most exciting brands. 

From 2017-2024, Steven served as the Chief Marketing & Experience Officer of Habitas, an experience-led hospitality brand that was named one of the “20 Most Creative Companies in the World” by GQ Magazine (2024). Steven help launch the brand globally, and was the architect of Habitas’ story-driven marketing approach. He helped build the business to 12 properties across The Americas, Africa and The Middle East. Steve worked closely with tourism boards and government officials to integrate Habitas as a core nation branding entity, in burgeoning destinations around the world.

Previously, Steven was the Managing Partner and Chief Strategy Officer of Code and Theory from 2010-2017. Under his leadership, it became the industry’s most awarded independent digital agency - from Webbies to Effies to Cannes Lions - with a client roster that included Vogue, L’Oréal and Burger King. 

Steven graduated from the University of Nebraska, where, as a wrestler, he was an All-American, Academic All-American and Big 8 Champion.
